Ease of installation and commissioning – bureaucracy at a minimum

Balcony photovoltaic kits are essentially composed of 1 or 2 photovoltaic solar panels, equipped with an integrated micro-inverter that enables the direct current produced by the panel to be transformed into alternating current that can be used by household appliances.

This system can be placed anywhere so, potentially, even in the garden or along fences. However, its typical configuration involves a balcony installation.

A Plug&Play mini PV system on a balcony has much lower costs than a “traditional” high-power system, partly because there is less installation by technicians and, most importantly, no need to do complex installations on roofs or surfaces with danger of falling.

State incentives allow recovery of 50 percent of the expenditure made.

The installation without permits must be less than 800W. This translates to a maximum of two PV balcony kits. No permit is required to install the balcony kits because they are part of the set of works under “free construction,” for which no permits are needed, in the list of DM March 2, 2018
